"Now I will have lunch": literary critic Saulius Vasiliauskas presents his book

Meeting

"Now I will have a quiet lunch" is the first book by the writer, literary critic Saulius Vasiliauskas, which contains short stories with an autobiographical tone, in which, at first glance, simple, life stories become witnesses to the importance of being in the present, "here and now". life needs to really be experienced, not run away assuming you have already experienced it.

“I was born in 1989 in Vilnius, I grew up in Širvintos. I started printing texts - essays, short stories, miniatures - after moving to the capital, where I study for a doctorate in literature, engage in various cultural activities and get the ball in the basketball team "Existential Issues" of young humanities and artists.
I know that my grandfather Stasys, exiled to the Vorkuta camp, told intriguing stories to the blatnas - not to be beaten to survive. There had to be a good narrator. Survivor. What about me? Telling me trying to survive? Apparently, to say so would not be purposeful and fair. Rather, I learn to listen and observe, to slow down events at least a little, to experience the present, ”says Saulius Vasiliauskas.
